Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Serendipity Artisan Blends?
Previously known as Serendipity Artisan Dips, we have changed our name to
Serendipity Artisan Blends, as we are now introducing other products, namely
dry rubs, and marinades for wine. We are a family owned business. We
currently sell a variety of savory and spicy dry dip mixes.  We are located in
Kirkland WA.

Are you connected with Homemade Gourmet or some other party-plan
organization?
No.  Serendipity is its’ own brand and is not associated with other distributors.

Do your dry dip mixes contain MSG or Gluten?
No. Our dry dip mixes are made with natural dried ingredients to create each
unique dry dip mix flavor. We do however add a trace amount of sea salt as a
flavor enhancer.

Do you only sell dip mixes?
Yes, but we are working on a brand new selection of marinades for wine and
dry rubs. Popcorn seasoning is also in the pipeline and we hope to launch
these by the start of our busy summer season.

How much do your dry dip mix packages make?
In most instances, the dry dip mix package will make approximately 2 cups of
dip.  Depending on customer taste when preparing the dip will determine
eventual dip quantity.

Can I use Miracle Whip instead of real mayonnaise?
NO!  Miracle Whip is a salad dressing, not mayo. The Miracle Whip distorts
the taste of the dip. All of our dip mixes have been specially blended to mix
with sour cream only.  This way you do not have to be messing about with
mayonnaise, and can therefore control the fat content simply by choosing the
right sour cream. For example, you can choose to use a lesser fat sour cream
or perhaps a non-dairy sour cream. Many of our customers choose to use a
plain yogurt as their base and one customer actually liquidizes zuchini and
adds the mix for a tasty, healthy treat.

What is the shelf life of the dry dip mix package?
Each of our dry dip mixes has a shelf life of 12 months. For best results store
your dip packs in a cool dry place, away from sunlight and strong food odours.
You might consider storing them in a Tupperware container. Don't forget to
keep the label with the dip mix for easy identification of the flavor later.

How long do your dips keep for one I have mixed them?
The dips will remain good to eat for as long as the sour cream stays fresh.
You might notice some separation of fluids after about one week. Simply stir
your mix again to blend. The dip will take on a tangy bitter taste when it is no
longer suitable to eat. This will not cause you any harm. It is simply an
indicator that the mix has passed its shelf life in the fridge.
